Tina’s Top 6 Tips for Getting Fit and Staying Fit!

We asked, she answered! We sat down with your Fit3 leader Tina Van Horn to share some of her time-tested fitness tips. 

1. Never go more than two days in a row without exercise. This applies to your vacations too!

2. Circuit training helps you burn calories and increase muscle. Circuit-style workouts super charge your metabolism and help you shed pounds. By getting your heart rate up and building lean muscle at the same time, they take multi-tasking to a new level.

3. You will never find time to exercise… you have to make time! Schedule your workouts just like you would schedule an appointment. Actually write it on your calendar or put it in your reminder app.

4. Find a fitness friend that will motivate you and help hold you accountable and vice versa. Social support is a powerful motivator when it comes to establishing a regular exercise routine and achieving fitness goals. That’s why we love our Fit3 community!

5. Make fitness an even bigger part of your daily routine by adding in exercise snippets throughout your day. Park the car further away from the building in the parking lot. Use the stairs rather than an elevator or escalator. Take a short walk during your lunch break. While all of these things may seem small, they get you moving and get your heart rate up more frequently throughout the day.

6. Find a workout regime that works for you. There are lots of options when it comes to getting a workout in. It’s important to find a balanced mix that you can commit to. Skip the excuses when you mix in Fit3 online workouts…they let you work out in the comfort of your living room!
